Consent Policy

Last updated: June 2026

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to all users of RentGo Ghana — tenants/customers, landlords, and agents. By creating an account you confirm you have read, understood and accept the terms of this Consent Policy alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Consent to data collection

You consent to RentGo collecting, processing and storing your personal data — including your name, contact details, identity documents (Ghana Card or passport), biometric capture and face ID — for the purposes of identity verification, fraud prevention, compliance with Ghanaian law, and operating the marketplace.

3. Consent to verification

Landlords and agents consent to manual review of their submitted identity and business documents by RentGo's verification team. Tenants consent to having their identity confirmed before booking viewings or making payments.

4. Consent to communications

You consent to receive transactional emails and SMS messages from RentGo relating to your account, listings, inquiries, payments and verification status. Marketing messages are opt-in and can be unsubscribed at any time.

5. Truthful information

You confirm that all information you provide — including identity documents, property details, pricing and availability — is true and accurate. Providing false information may result in account suspension and may constitute an offence under Ghanaian law.

6. Legal basis

Your consent is given freely under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana and forms part of the legal record between you and RentGo Ghana. You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account; this will end your access to RentGo services.
